This Privacy Policy explains how VideoPolished ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information.
What We Collect
When you use the Service
- Video files you upload for processing (temporarily stored, auto-deleted — see Data Retention)
- Processing results: transcripts, chapters, summaries, subtitle files, cleaned videos
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited
When you create an account
- Account info: email address, name (via Clerk authentication)
- Billing info: handled by Stripe — we do not store full payment card data
- Usage data: processing minutes used, plan tier, job history
How We Use Your Data
- To provide the Service: process your videos, generate transcripts, remove fillers, burn captions
- To operate and improve: monitor performance, fix bugs, improve processing quality
- To communicate: send account-related emails (billing, service updates)
- We do not sell your data or use your videos to train AI models
Third-Party Processors
Your video and audio data is sent to third-party APIs for processing. See our Vendor Disclosure for the complete list. Key processors:
- OpenAI (Whisper) — audio transcription
- OpenAI (GPT-4o-mini) — chapter and summary generation
- fal.ai — audio enhancement (when enabled)
- Cloudflare R2 — file storage
- Clerk — authentication
- Stripe — payment processing
Data Retention

Cookies and Analytics

Security
We use HTTPS encryption in transit, and files are stored in encrypted cloud storage (Cloudflare R2). Access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel.
Children
The Service is not intended for users under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

We may update this Policy over time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Continued use indicates acceptance.
